Let me just start by saying that Avard Law took on my Social Security Disability case promptly after multiple attempts by myself and my wife to handle it on our own. It was a difficult case, (mental health, not a physical disability or injury), but they agreed to represent me on the spot. They explained the process, the paperwork, and the complex structure of disability claims. My wife and I were forced to leave Cape Coral for Winston-Salem NC due to financial hardship, and Avard still agreed to keep me as a client even out of state. The process of a hearing with the Administrative Law Judge was daunting, but my attorneys prepped me very well with a wealth of information and questions and rehearsal. During the hearing, my attorney Mr Mark Zakhvatayev, was extremely professional, prepared, and even was able to properly support me when I became flustered and somewhat forgetful on some details. I'm a 100% permanent and totally disabled, service-connected, US military combat veteran with significant injuries which preclude my ability to work. Please know that Documentation is your only friend, aside from AVARDS A-Team. The more documentation you can provide, the better position your case will be in. Know that you will be required to fill out lots of redundant forms (keep copies!). Take the time to fill them out with as much detail as possible, including: illnesses/diagnosis, medications, procedures, names/dates, etc. Again documentation is your only and best friend.
