The Mattar Firm

The Mattar Firm is absolutely a 10 out of 10! Claudia has great passionates, and knows her stuff. The staff is very knowledge and helpful. They made the process easy. If we didn't know something they went back over it and made sure we got it and really understood it. The mattar firm really explained to us and our loved ones how we are going to be protected.

After seeing the commercial about the firm we signed up for a workshop. The workshop was very informative and we were impressed by the presenter as well as the presentation itself. We decided to move forward and set up a trust. The entire process was made very easy by the excellent staff at The Mattar Firm. They were all very knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. We'd recommend them to everyone.

The Mattar Firm helped me apply for my grandmothers Medicaid and ensure that the nursing home did not take all her assets. I was able to work with them remotely from my medical school and they conducted all meetings via zoom to make sure I felt like an active part of the process. Thanks to the Mattar firm my grandmother was able to protect her life savings and qualify for Medicaid for long term care. 10/10 would recommend!!

Proceed with caution! Many of the times people are in a vulnerable state when considering an asset protection plan or a trust. Our best advice is to get a second opinion before signing. Whether what they are selling is really what is best for your own personal situation doesn't matter...they are a business and they will take your money. The whole process is like an assembly line, seminar, collect money, change information on templates, print templates, put in a nice binder, wash, rinse, repeat. The next step is where it all falls apart...and of course only that happens after they have collected their fees. We are 6 months into the trust process. Multiple times forms have been sent to insurance companies with missing information, Power of Attorney forms have been sent out with incorrect names on them, questionable short cuts have been made. Check and double check what you are signing...don't assume it is correct. Beware Claudia De Jesus can be confrontational, she is pleasant until she is not! Her work is reactive not proactive. This process could have been completed within 30 days with a little foresight and proper attorney recommendations. Needless to say our experience with Claudia has not been a good one. We have left several messages with The Mattar Firm but, as of yet, we have not received a response to our concerns.

I had recently remarried and traveled considerably and thought it would be wise to update my will. I decided to contact the Mattar firm and explore trusts. Through their online presentation I became intrigued with the irrevocable trust and wanted to explore that and other options. I worked with Ms. De Jesus, whom I discovered to be personable, competent, and easy to talk to. On our third and final meeting I brought in my laptop, signed in to my online brokerage account, and she initiated putting my stock portfolio into an irrevocable trust, a task that would have overwhelmed me. She also prepared a letter for my bank, which when I handed it to my banker, accomplished the same end within a few minutes. I'm good, and so very grateful their assistance and professionalism.
