I have moved back to Connecticut recently after my mother's death and needed to redo my will and other end of life paperwork. Being new to this area, I had no idea what lawyer I should use for this important job. I found Bonnie in one of the free newspapers that get stuffed in our mailbox. She was close and offered a free consultation. When I met her, I immediately liked her easygoing and laid-back style vs. the stuffy, too official type of attorney I have had in the past. She is extremely professional while being casual and making me feel at home and didn't fill my brain with legalese. She was direct and honest, and when there were parts that might get too complicated for what she could do, she had no problem recommending a colleague. I did speak with him but ended up opting for the simple version with Bonnie. She has a sense of humor, which is very important to me, especially when talking about death. I tend to revert to making jokes. But she's completely by the book, making sure I was ready to sign this vital piece of paper, knowing that I could make changes if necessary. Her staff is responsive and polite also. It does take a while to get an appointment and for the paperwork to get completed. They are busy, so don't expect things overnight. She was willing to add a special dementia section to the end of life part for no extra charge, as I don't want my life extended should I ever get this diagnosis. Her price is reasonable, and overall, the experience was excellent. I highly recommend this law office.
