Attorney Michael S. Boynton was hired to represent my Husband in a prior divorce case. After the divorce was finalized, it was discovered that Boynton never submitted the necessary paperwork, resulting in my Husband not receiving full ownership of the property. Boynton agreed to complete the paperwork to grant full ownership to my Husband, as well as add his current Wife to the Deed and Title. However, Boynton continuously tried to persuade my Husband against giving ownership to his Wife, despite his client's request. A year later, when we tried to refinance our home, we found out that I was never added to the current Title or Deed, and the paperwork was filed incorrectly, granting full ownership to my Husband and his ex-wife. We contacted Boynton again to rectify the situation. Boynton was contacted multiple times to resolve the issue regarding the ownership of the property listed under ex Wife. However, he claimed to have no knowledge of the whereabouts of the file and checked a website to find information about the property ownership. He stated that I had no ownership and proceeded to blame the website, the town clerks office, and his colleague, Maria, without taking any responsibility for his negligence. He admitted to not knowing how to fix the issue and became hostile and yelled when asked relevant questions. Boynton displayed unprofessional behavior and failed to fulfill his responsibilities three times. It is extremely disappointing to pay an attorney to secure ownership of a home only to discover years later that the previous owners still hold the rights. Based on this experience, it is not recommended to seek the services of Attorney Michael S. Boynton.
