I was pulled over by CHP back in 2017 after cutting off a driver who had been going too slow in the left lane. The officer asked me if I had consumed any drinks that evening, and I answered truthfully -- yes, but I had stopped 4 hours ago. The "yes" was only the answer he was looking for, and I was forced out of my car for field sobriety testing. The officer administered the tests multiple times until he was satisfied that he had a result he could exploit, then placed me into the back of his patrol vehicle and hauled me off to county jail. When I was released the next day, I asked my attorney friends for recommendations for a good DUI attorney. When I explained the nuances of my arrest and the ramifications of a potential DUI conviction on my career to the recommended attorneys, several of them referred me to the person they said they would want to represent themselves: Peter Johnson.
