Dignity Health - French Hospital Medical Center

I'm from out of town and came to French Hospital in a emergency situation. The ER was busy as most are , but I was prosessed and seen in a timely order. After several tests I was diognosed and put in a room , where my problem was addressed and taken care of. I spent two nights where I was observed and then released, but only after they were 100% sure the problem was resolved. I found all the staff to be very kind and attentive! They listened and I felt that they really cared! the hospital itself was very clean and well maintained. A special shoutout to my Doctor, Gigi Nickas! She was exceptional! Thank You to all...

I'm still genuinely shocked at how horrible of an experience I had at this hospital with the intake nurse and her doctor. Not only were they extremely unprofessional but the overall atmosphere is like a frat house meets sorority. Not to mention that there is zero privacy when you are speaking to them about your medical issues, you're basically in the lobby sitting feet away from other patients. I felt violated after my experience there and didn't even wait for my paperwork I had to rush out of there so fast. Never again.

Very customer friendly outpatient departments. I received excellent care in 2023 when I experienced chest pressure for 30 minutes mid esophagus for the very first time. Received excellent care when I was greeted by the ER registrar. After the usual exam and tests the ER MD admitted me for 48 hour observation. Before being admitted my COVID SCREEN was positive. (My co-worker was sick with upper respiratory symptoms and refused to wear a mask or be tested.) My troponin level was elevated but my SAO2 was 88% on room air. Anyway I had a private room with a view and received excellent nuring care . My male RN's were both travelers and were the most professional nurses with great bedside manner. Thank you French Hospital for the excellent care.

Nurses are great. Dr Gamarra is great. Hospital rooms are made for two but they squeezed three beds in it which means no one can stay with you. A visitor has to sit on a hard fold up chair in the walkway. Crazy. Please fix this! The visitor recliners are in a hallway in some sort of make shift storage.. ugh! Calgon take me away!

I recently had outpatient spinal surgery at French Hospital. From start to finish my experience was exceptionally pleasant. I can't say enough about my surgeon and the surgical team but everyone from pre and post op care were wonderful and caring. The facility was clean attractive and nurturing. Thank you all.
