When I went for an annual physical, my doctor recommended I get the pneumonia vaccine while in the office. Her medical assistant administered the vaccine injection in my upper left shoulder. The injection was the most painful I had ever received -- it took my breath away and I almost passed out. I knew something was very wrong and unfortunately, it never stopped hurting.
