Approximately 6 weeks ago my husband and I wrote a $3, 000 check to Mr. Wood as a retainer for my 24 year old son. We hired Mr. Wood to handle a simple divorce/temporary child visitation schedule with my sons 6 month old daughter and our 6 month old granddaughter. After waiting 6 weeks with no results and very little Communications, we terminated our agreement with Mr. Wood. Today we learned that Mr. Wood not only charged us $1, 700 Plus for services unknown to us, he also returned the unused portion of the retainer that myself and my husband paid.....to our 24 year old son who contributed nothing to the retainer. We feel that Mr.Wood not only wasted thousands of dollars of our money but more importantly he wasted six weeks of precious time that we should have had with our granddaughter. We trusted Mr. Wood, I feel that he over promised and grossly under delivered. I have been a real estate agent in Huntsville Alabama for 30 years, I have had the pleasure of working with hundreds of attorneys throughout my career. I cannot and will not recommend this attorney nor his firm for any kind of services based on our experiences. Mr. Wood has been the most disappointing attorney that I have ever worked with.
